Helping Hands Ministry
Helping Hands Ministry assists members of Tallowood who are senior adults, widows and single women with repairs or projects in or outside their home. Helping Hands is a volunteer ministry available to men, women, and students. Anyone interested in serving or needing assistance, please visit www.tallowood.org/helpinghands/
Tallowood serves a meal at Montrose Street Reach (MSR) every 4th Wednesday of each month through November at 7:00pm. We have “Street Church” in an open lot near Westheimer and Montrose at 1110 Lovett Street. MSR volunteers serve meals to more than 100 men, women and children. Super Saturday and Mondays Prison Ministry – Super Saturday is held twice a year. Volunteers minister to juvenile inmates at approved facilities. Mondays Prison Ministry, volunteers minister to men and women at the Houston Downtown jails. Other prison ministries: Lighthouse Prison Ministry, Write-Way Prison Ministry, Rock of Ages Prison Ministry, Chaplain Milton May. Coed group meets the fourth (4th) Tuesday of every month (during the school year) at 6:45pm in the Fireplace Room. Fellowship with local mission ministries, listen to missionary testimonies, and enjoy doing mission projects together. This wonderful ministry brings worship and praise services to many different nursing homes and retirement facilities in Houston. Opportunities include presenting a message, leading the singing, and assisting residents who are unable to attend worship services on their own. Serve impoverished communities in the inner city of Houston. Volunteer opportunities include food and clothing distribution, kids clubs, preteen and teen clubs, senior adult ministry and ESL classes.

Reaching the ends of the earth through global gateway cities. The Ends of the Earth waited for the hope of salvation in Jesus Christ. Today, God has brought The Ends of the Earth to us. North America’s megacities are now how to many unreached people groups from around the world. The Off Ramp connects you with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of forcibly displaced refugees both near and far.
