Precept Ministry

Tallowood is pleased to offer Precept Ministries International studies, a classic series in the Women’s Bible Study genre.

Founded by Kay and Jack Arthur in 1970, Precept Ministries International exists to establish people in God’s Word. Now in nearly 180 countries and 70 languages, Precept leaders are using the Inductive Bible Study Method and materials to show others how to discover truth for themselves, know their God, and to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Tallowood offers a traditional Precept® Study on Wednesday mornings, and a Precept® “Lord” study on Wednesday evenings.

Precepts AM – Galatians – Who Has Bewitched You? Why and How?

Led by Deana McCurdy

Wednesday Mornings: 9:30-11:30 AM / WT 320

Cost $16

Begins September 11

As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose.  Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began.  What does it mean to live under grace?  Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian?  All of it or just part of it?  Who is right?  How will we know?

God used the apostle, Paul, to write a letter to some churches that were struggling with this issue, a letter that still speaks today.  Its message clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage.

Led by Laura Thames and Laurie Schlaudt

Wednesday Evenings: 6:30-8:30 PM / WT 315

Cost $10

Begins September 11

Neither Solomon, his son Rehoboam, nor his son Abijam followed God fully, nor did Jeroboam in Israel. Their hearts were divided. Would God ever find anyone to serve Him like David? Would He ever find one whose heart was fully His? God says that we are to love Him with all of our heart. Is that really possible? This course has the answer.
