Looking to Jesus: Home to Him

March 31, 2019

Where is your home town? Maybe your life of moving makes that question difficult to answer. That is my story. Jesus, who had no place to lay his head, never lived in Jerusalem for an extended period. When he visited, he frequently stayed with his friends in Bethany, or prayed in a Garden outside the gates. But in the last weeks of his life he turned toward Jerusalem. When the Pharisees warned him to move on, he predicted his own death in Jerusalem. So why did he go there? Why did he love the city so much? Why did the people reject his love? Why do we? Today we can come home to him.
