1 Corinthians 2:6-16 | | Series:

What is our claim to fame? The Greeks prided themselves in their tradition of wisdom. After all, they produced Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. When Paul arrived in Corinth he decided not to try to impress the people with his intellect, but to focus on Christ, the source of true wisdom. Their faith did not rest on human understanding but God’s power. In this season, one of my prayers has been that God would give us uncommon wisdom. Opinions abound. “Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.” Where do we find true wisdom? The Holy Spirit reveals wisdom to those who love God. This wisdom leads us to maturity and unity.
