Habits of Effective Disciples: Persistent Prayer

May 4, 2014

Luke 11:1-13, 18:1-8 | | Series:

When you pray, what do you say? When his disciples asked Jesus to teach them, Luke tells us that Jesus taught them a simple prayer. Then he told them a humorous story about a friend who awakened his friend for help. In every case, Jesus showed the relational nature of prayer. God is better than our best friends, more faithful than the best father, kinder than any judge. So we ask, seek and knock and he answers as he chooses. What do disciples do? We pray.
