ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) at Tallowood
For more than fifty years, Tallowood has been committed to teaching the English language to those new to America with the goal that they will become followers of Jesus Christ. Our ESOL history began with a small group of committed leaders teaching women from one Asian country and today the average representation is more than sixteen countries. We thank the Lord that we are welcoming the world which has come to Houston through the teaching of the English language.

Tallowood Language Learning exists to reach unchurched cultural groups in the surrounding Tallowood community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The program currently offers weekly instruction in the Mandarin language to grade school children and follows the Spring Branch Independent School District academic calendar. In addition to instruction, the program offers parent fellowship, Bible Study opportunities, and invitations to engage in the overall Tallowood church community The program operates through a partnership between the Missions ministry and the Tallowood Chinese Community Outreach Team.
