Worship at Tallowood
We welcome you to worship with us this weekend! We pray that our worship services impact your life and the lives of those around you.
What is worship? It is focusing on God, not on ourselves. It is something that begins with the heart and is expressed with actions. Therefore, it is important that we prepare our hearts for this special time. Because our worship brings God pleasure, it is to be done with sincerity from the heart, not out of duty and obligation. Let’s ask God to open our hearts to truly worship Him.
While we can worship God anywhere at any time, there is something special about gathering with other believers. As we worship corporately, we connect with God both individually and as a body. At Tallowood, there are several opportunities to join our hearts together in worship each weekend.
Sunday, 8:45 a.m. – Traditional Worship
Sunday, 11:15 a.m. – Contemporary Worship
Sunday, 6:00 p.m. – Evening Worship
The traditional worship service at 8:45 a.m. features the Adult Choir, Orchestra, piano and pipe organ, and is led by Carlos Ichter, Minister of Music and Worship, and Dr. Duane Brooks, Pastor. From treasured hymns to majestic choral anthems, the traditional service at Tallowood seeks to magnify our Creator and Lord and inspire us to lives of obedience and service.
Tallowood’s second service is in a band-oriented modern style each weekend. It takes place on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. Worship is led by Sky Howard, Music and Worship Associate, and Dr. Duane Brooks, Pastor.
