Volunteering with Special Needs Ministry

If you are interested in volunteering in our Treasures Ministry, we would love to talk to you! Your job description might include being a Buddy to accompany a student to a typical Sunday School Class. You might find yourself helping someone read, turn pages, or move to the next activity. You might get to swing someone in our giant swing or work a puzzle. You might get to join another helper who is taking someone for a walk. In short, you get to be a friend to someone who is described by God in His word as “indispensable”. A trained staff member is on duty to help with personal care or medical needs. We will provide the training you need.

If you are interested in volunteering in our Special Needs Ministry, please fill out the application below.* We will be happy to speak with you about your desire to serve in our ministry.

*Church policy requires that our volunteers be members of Tallowood Baptist Church and complete an Authorization to Release Information for purposes of a background check if 18 or older.

*Teen volunteers need to be Tallowood church members. The ideal teen volunteer is one who earnestly feels called to serve in this ministry.
