Sunday Night Sermon Series

We can disagree without being disagreeable. As our church begins to consider changing our requirements for deacon candidates to the requirements in Acts 6 and 1 Timothy 3, we are taking a closer look at issues like alcohol, marriage and giving as part of that picture. Paul wrote to a church in Rome which had both Jews and Gentiles to show them how to care for each other well. His words help us to listen to each other and love each other well when we don’t understand each other’s perspectives. What we share in common in Christ is ultimate. As John Wesley put it: “In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity.”
