1 Corinthians 11:17-26 | Duane Brooks |
Jesus gave two commands to his church which we practice in worship. We baptize and we eat the Lord’s Supper together. Baptism happens only once in our spiritual lives. But we get to partake at the Lord’s Table much more often. If we are not careful our familiarity with the Supper may foster contempt. What does this Supper mean? When we eat and drink we are proclaiming the Lord’s death until he comes. The story is so important that we need to tell it well. It takes all of us, together at the table.
