Helping Hands Ministry
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works. (Hebrews 10:24)
Tallowood Helping Hands Ministry was created to assist senior adults, widows, and single women in our congregation with repairs or projects in or outside their home. Helping Hands is a volunteer ministry available to men, women, students, groups, and all who have a heart for service. Opportunities include minor painting, light bulb and battery replacement, air filter changes, small plumbing or electrical jobs, yard cleanup, and gutter cleaning. Where there is a need, no job is too small. Helping Hands projects will be completed on the third Saturday of each month, excluding holidays, unless an alternative date is listed.
Need Help? Examples of what we do listed below. Person requesting Helping Hands is responsible for cost of all materials and paint colors/matching, if applicable.
- Yard Work: Cleaning flower beds, mulching trimming,
- Electrical: Replace light bulbs, switches, smoke detector batteries, replace ceiling fans.
- Painting: Small areas, touch ups
- Miscellaneous: other odd jobs/repairs not listed above will be considered on a case by case basis.
